Varrick Douglas - Former Executive Officer, Chicago Police Department
Varrick Douglas is a former Area Commander and Executive Officer with the Chicago Police Department. In 2007, he acquired both a Bachelor's of Science degree in Law Enforcement Management and a Master's degree in Public Safety Administration from Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana. Continuing his education, Varrick Douglas went on to earn a PhD in Bussiness Administration from Argosy University in Chicago.
During his many years with the Chicago Police Department (CPD), Varrick Douglas oversaw daily operations, analyzed crime data, and made assessments of crime control strategies and initiatives the police department used to combat public violence within his assigned areas.
Varrick Douglas also worked with various units and bureaus during his time with CPD, including the Bureau of Organized Crime Division, where he supervised three levels of narcotics investigations, and where he worked alongside the FBI on the FBI Task Force and also alongside the DEA on the DEA Task Force. By the time he left CPD in 2021, he had received multiple awards and commendations from the department and the mayor’s office.
In support of his work, Varrick Douglas is a active member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (N.O.B.L.E.) and an active member of the Police Executive Research Forum (P.E.R.F.).
